Retired ex police and photographer now shooting for pleasure only.  Love to photograph the female form  no matter what your age, looks, size or shape, mummy tummies or disability. My interest in photography started in secondary school at the age of 14 when I was bought a Halina camera for my birthday. School had a darkroom which allowed me to develop and print black and white images. As my interest grew I upgraded cameras over the years as and when I could afford it. Cameras included Praktica, Minolta, Roliflex, Mamiya, and the Canon A cameras.
At the age of 18 I emigrated to Canada and after a couple of years working in a asbestos company I got out because of the health risk and joined the Ontairio Provincial Police covering the whole province. This gave me the ideal opportunity to photograph landscapes and wildlife.
During my time in Canada I joined many different camera clubs depending on which towns and city’s I was based and then at the age of 27 I completed a degree in photography. After a few more years as a police officer I was able to get into the forensic department as a photographer.
Most of the work was at times pretty mundane and other times upsetting, horrific and interesting. I think my interest grew in shooting models was because of photographing people involved in crime. I have always loved the female form and after returning to the Uk I joined the police as a civilian in forensics again.
Retirement was boring so I opened up a studio first in Bury and then a larger space in Bolton. I sold these on due to ill health and now shoot as a hobbyist.
